The TeamApt Women in Tech 2021 Internship Programme is a life-changing opportunity to level up your career in tech. It’s a 6-month internship specially tailored for women in the early stages of their careers in the technology industry to acquire the knowledge and experience needed to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your 1:1 mentor and engineering peers to design, build, and deploy enterprise software

• Learn how we develop new features and capabilities from concept to production. This includes writing, testing, deploying, monitoring, and more

• Work alongside the core engineering team on roadmap features that ship to customers in production throughout the internship period

• Uphold a high standard of code quality through code reviews and extensive testing

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions

• Design client-side and server-side architecture

• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

• Write effective APIs

• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

• Create security and data protection settings

• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design

• Write technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, or related field
  
• Experience coding in at least one language (Java, C++, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Go etc.)
  
• Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms, web development cycle, programming techniques and tools
  
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills
  
• Excellent time management skills
  
• Must have a go-getter and self motivating attitude
