    Dunn and Braxton Limited - Our client is a nonprofit financial literacy initiative that is committed to promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship education for young adults and teenagers.

    The organisation is currently seeking an intern to work as a Project Assistant to assist the Project Manager with the Financial Literacy Club project.

    Project Scope: The project involves setting up Financial Literacy club in 200 schools with a target reach over 5000 students.

    Job Objective: To assist the Project Manager with planning and implementing the Financial Literacy projects in 200 schools in Lagos.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Coordinating Program Logistics

    • Mobilizing and overseeing logistics for the project
    • Communicate and get feedback from project stakeholders
    • Get club materials from vendors delivered when necessary
    • Deploying club kits to 200 schools across 6 educational districts in Lagos
    • Evaluate and observe on-going project by being actively involved.

    Training

    • Recruit teachers in select schools as instructors.
    • Develop and administer survey pre- and post-training for instructors.
    • Collect all necessary data on all the students from instructors in the respective schools, and file appropriately.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Administer evaluation instruments before, during and after programme for all instructors & students
    • Analyse and document programme monitoring and evaluation results using charts & tables
    • Prepare comprehensive and highly-readable reports for each activity of the programme
    • Conduct periodic check-in and follow-up calls to beneficiaries, and partners

    Documentation & Communication

    • Keep, collate and maintain detailed records of all meetings and activities related to responsibilities
    • Prepare reports for on-going project and keep necessary documentations for various aspects of the project
    • Follow-up with schools under this project via voice call and email.

    Marketing

    • Project Assistant should be able to build relationships with corporates as project partners to initiate their support for the project.

    Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee.


    Work Schedule:

    • Works 5 times a week (Mon-Fri)
    • Resume at the office every Monday at 9:00 a.m for weekly meetings.
    • Resume at the project site on Tuesday to Friday at 9:00 a.m. for project activities and report writing.
    • School visits shall be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and any other day if necessary.
    • Meetings with project partners - school managements and partners, would usually be scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays, and other days if necessary.
    • Maybe required to work extra hours

    Requirements

    • Good first degree in Social Science or any relevant field
    • Experience in Social developmental works or cause will be an advantage
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Knowledge of administrative processes and project management skills
    • Proficiency with the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Outstanding organizational ability and attention to detail

    *The role Involves community engagement, outreach, and working with young children and school teachers.

    Benefits

    N30, 000.00 Stipend + N5000 Data allowance and 10% Performance bonus on Fund raising and Sponsorship deals.
