Nourishing Africa is looking for a full-stack web developer with experience using PHP/Laravel and MYSQL, and experience in UI/UX design utilizing HTML/CSS, JavaScript/Vue.js/jQuery and Bootstrap.

Description:

In this role, you will be required to fulfil the following primary responsibilities working as a key member of the Nourishing Africa team:

• Code well designed, testable, efficient software by using best development practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Develop user interface and experience for the Nourishing Africa hub
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling of the Nourishing Africa online hub
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Serve as an advisor to the team on appropriate web application measures to implement in carrying out its daily operations
• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures
• Develop scalable web applications for the company
• Manage user data from database architecture
• Design series of graphics for Nourishing Africa platform including fliers, social media posts, banners, etc.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Web and User Interface design using HTML/CSS, JavaScript/Vue.js/jQuery, Bootstrap
• Experience in Back-end and Database Development using PHP/Laravel, MYSQL
• Experience in graphic designing using, Photoshop or illustrator
• Experience in Git repository using GitHub
• Knowledge of popular security measures like SSL, anti-malware protection, password security using bcrypt and SHA.
• Experience in Search Engine Optimization and Google analytics
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members
