The Property Owners Group, a real estate company, is hiring an Accountant in Lagos.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis
• Develop and establish all accounting policies for banks
• Liaise with Human Resource Officer to compensate employees
• Prepare various financial reports and submit it to regulatory agencies
• Update internal databases (CRM) with account details
• Research market trends and competition
• Create reports on sales and marketing campaigns
• Maintain digital and physical records of invoices and contracts
• Address payment issues
• Identify new revenue prospects

Requirements

• Zero to Five year experience as an Account Officer, Account Coordinator or similar role
• BSc in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or relevant field
• Experience in customer service roles is a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Time-management abilities
• Knowledge of relevant tax & pension legislation and best practice in order to ensure compliance
• Attention to details
• Knowledge of database and spreadsheet software
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Crystal Reports, Peachtree, Paychex, SAP, Sage or Tally is a plus
• Possession of relevant professional certification such as ICAN, CIBN would be an added advantage
