Your function as a UI/UX Designer is to turn our software into an easy-to-use product for our clients. Your responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphics elements and building navigation components. YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
- Turn our software into an easy-to-use product for our clients
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate UX designs to front end development components into a fully functional software system
- Develop UI/UX verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Create original graphics designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables)
- Document and maintain designs
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
- Comply with project plans and industry standards
- Ensure designs are updated with the latest features
YOUR ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, test and implement new software programs
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
- Design and update software database. This includes, but is not limited to: software applications, websites, data communication processes and user interfaces.
- Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
- Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages
- Innovate ideas, and develop them to go-to market stages.
- Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
- Resolve complex technical design issues
- Development of technical specifications and plans
- Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to application design documents
- Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
- Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
- Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
- Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc…
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
- Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
- Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment
- Strong attention to detail.
